Registration

State law requires school attendance between the ages of 6 and 18. A child must be 5 years of age on or before September 1 to enter kindergarten. To enter first grade a child must be 6 years of age on or before September 1.

Students enrolling in Bryan ISD must provide the following documents:

1. Birth certificate
2. Social Security card
3. Proof of physical residence - Need 2 (utility bill or lease agreement, driver's license, Voter Registration Card, utilities termination or application, builder contract)
4. Proof of parent income (for Pre-Kindergarten students only)
5. Transcript from previous school
6. Immunization record including DPT, poliomyelitis, varicella, hepatitis A & B, and measles-mumps-rubella. (A TB test is required if students are entering from outside the United States.) Click here for a complete list of vaccine requirements for Texas school entrance. 

Pre-Kindergarten Registration

The Bryan Independent School District will offer an instructional program for eligible 4-year olds during the 2009-2010 school year.

Children will attend one 3-hour session each day: morning or afternoon.

Transportation is available.

To Qualify:

1. Four years old on or before September 1
2. Limited English language proficiency or income within guidelines for free/reduced meals (proof of income required)
3. Documents listed above

Please register children at the school they are zoned to attend this fall. Any child who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2009 is eligible.
