Credit By Exam

Credit By Exam Without Prior Instruction:

A student is permitted to take an examination to earn credit for an academic course(s) for which he/she has no prior instruction. In order to receive credit through this process, a score of 90% or higher must be achieved on each test that is taken.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for participation in this academic acceleration process, the BISD student must meet minimum expectation on the Reading section of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test for the most current administration. If the student is in a grade level that does not have TAKS data, the student must have demonstrated a level of “developed” on the most current administration of the TPRI or Tejas Lee.
