| History: | Davila Middle School opened in Fall, 2008 as the fourth middle school for Bryan ISD. The school was named for Arthur L. Davila, the first Hispanic to be elected to the Bryan Board of Trustees. Davila served on the Board from 1971 - 1984. He was an active role model in the Hispanic community and was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999 from the Hispanic Forum. | |
