I learned to weld right here in BISD back in about 1995. I knew shortly after starting my welding class that this was something I could really enjoy and make money doing. I worked offshore on drilling rigs and I owned a fabrication shop for the first 15 years of my career before I decided to get into education. I felt that there was a need for more young people to be properly trained and I made the jump into education to help remedy the shortage of welders. I have been in the welding classroom now close to 10 years.
