Each fall, Bryan ISD organizes the University Scholastic League (UIL) A+ Program to give a chance for students to compete in the subject areas of: 

Storytelling- 2nd, 3rd & 4th English and Spanish

Music Memory- 3rd and 4th

Spelling- 3rd and 4th English and Spanish

Oral Reading- 4th English and Spanish

Creative Writing- 2nd Spanish

Art- 4th 

Participation is open to any interested second through fourth grade student who is willing to commit study time and energy to the chosen event. None of the events require you to buy anything, and there is no fee to participate. Each child may only participate in one event. Children may only compete at their own grade level.  If an event is not offered at their grade level, they may not participate in that event.  Coaches will conduct tryouts for their respective teams as necessary as most competitions are limited to 2 or 3 students per grade level.
