It is an honor to introduce myself as Sadberry Intermediate School's new principal and establish a positive foundation for this school community. I can assure you that I share in this school community’s commitment to caring for your children every day while providing them with a world-class learning environment.

I am a product of Bryan ISD and the city of Bryan. I started head start at Sul Ross before moving to Crocket for elementary school. I went to 5th grade at Lamar before transitioning to Carver for 6th grade. I attended SFA at Anson Jones for 7th grade before attending Jane Long for 8th grade. I again went to Lamar for 9th grade before finally attending Bryan High School and graduating in 1995. This experience has shaped my core beliefs and values, which are the same values that underlie the Bryan School District.

Children First, Always. With my goal of establishing a tradition of excellence here at Sadberry Intermediate School, I am committed to always exploring new ways to meet the needs of all students and to more effectively communicate with parents and community members.

I arrive at Sadberry as a seasoned teacher and administrator, in addition to my role as an educator. I am first and foremost a father and husband; In August, my son Jaden ( a graduate of Bryan High School) started at Texas A&M University, my son Joshua began daycare, and my son Josiah is expected to arrive in January of 2023. My wife Monique is a diagnostician here in Bryan ISD; I look forward to introducing my family to the many wonderful people that will call Sadberry “home” soon.

The 2023-2024 school year will mark my 19th year in education. Since graduating from Prairie View, A&M University, I have served Bryan ISD in multiple roles. I began my career as a Teacher at Jane Long Middle School, where I served in that role for eight years. I served as an assistant principal at Rayburn Middle School for three years before moving to Bryan High School, where I served an additional seven years as an assistant principal. The Intermediate principalship provides me the chance to work collaboratively with teachers daily while also remaining connected to young students learning and growing in the classroom. I firmly believe that every child can excel and that the partnership between home and school builds confidence in students to use their powers to shape their future and the future of our community and our nation. My vision for the school is for every teacher to engage every student every day! Consistency and longevity equal success. Sadberry will be successful due to the students' and teachers' hard work and effort. I’m excited about the upcoming school year, and I’m looking for individuals who share in that excitement and commitment to students. Along with the staff and parents, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at the Elementary campuses by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. Together we will focus on the use of data to inform instruction and ensure the success of our students.
