Fine Arts
Performing & Fine Arts students are a fixture in and around the Bryan community. From acting performances to art exhibits to many other shows and service activities, their talent extends far beyond school walls

Art
Bryan ISD’s Art Department offers a wide range of classes including general art, drawing, sculpture, painting and electronic media. The students participate in TEAM, Jr. VASE, VASE and many various shows and competitions throughout the year.
Band
The Band program in Bryan ISD includes both marching and concert bands, as well as indoor drum line, indoor color guard, jazz and ethnic music. There are opportunities for students to perform in large groups and as soloists. The students participate in UIL and TMEA events throughout the year as well as community events. Additionally, portions of the Band programs have traveled throughout the nation representing BISD.
Choir
Bryan ISD’s Choir program is very active throughout the community performing as both large groups and small and individual events. There are many opportunities to perform in traditional choral singing as well as ethnic and A capella contemporary groups. The students participate in UIL and TMEA events throughout the year and have traveled throughout the nation representing Bryan ISD.
Dance
Exploring the diverse styles and genres of dance, the Bryan ISD Dance department gives students the opportunity to express themselves. Through both large groups and individual opportunities, the students can participate in a number of performances. Within the Dance program are the Drill Teams from each high school that perform at all football games and various community events throughout the year.
Elementary Music
The Elementary Music program represents each of the 15 elementary schools throughout Bryan ISD. Through various musicals and performances for the parents and general community, they are an active part of their campuses. Students from each elementary school have recently performed the Star Spangled Banner at a Texas A&M Women’s Basketball Game.
Orchestra
Bryan ISD’s Orchestras give students the opportunities to develop their skills on stringed instruments such as the violin, viola, cello and bass. There are many performances through UIL, TMEA and for the community in large groups and as individuals.
Theatre
The Bryan ISD Department of Theatre involves students of all ages in performing for large and small audiences alike. From major musicals for audiences of over 1,000 to intimate black box performances, the Bryan Theater programs include a varied repertoire of performances. Students take on such roles as actors, actresses, producers, directors, stage managers and all other support areas. Students participate in both UIL and community events throughout the year.
RECENT RECOGNITIONS
Bryan ISD was recently recognized as a District of Distinction by the Texas Art Education Association and one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation.
