About Transfers

Bryan ISD offers a variety of academic, athletic and Career and Technical Education (CTE) options to fit your child's educational needs. We strive to provide a high-quality educational environment that fits your student’s interests and meets the high standards of college and career readiness expectations.

Transfer Window

The 2025-2026 student transfer application is now closed.

The district will consider transfers on a case-by-case basis for certain circumstances, including the following:

• Full-time District employees

• Sibling transfers

• Change of residence

• Safety concerns

• Campus-specific programs not offered at a child's zoned school

• Extenuating circumstances

If you believe your student qualifies for a student transfer based on the above or have questions regarding the transfer process, please contact Carmen Hutcherson in the School Leadership Department at carmen.hutcherson@bryanisd.org for assistance and to complete the required form. Please understand that filling out the form does not guarantee approval of the transfer request.

Students who are currently attending school on a transfer and will be at the same school the next school year will be notified if the continuation for the following school year is approved. You DO NOT need to reapply.

Parents of students who are moving to intermediate school (entering 5th grade), middle school (entering 7th grade) or high school (entering 9th grade) who desire for their student to attend a school other than their zoned campus will need to complete a new transfer application.

School Boundaries

To find your zoned campus, please refer to the School Attendance Zone maps. There you will also find an online resource where you can input your home address and locate your student's zoned campus.
