Bryan ISD art educators stand under the TAEA 5th year badge

Bryan ISD was recently named a District of Distinction for the 5th year in a row by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA)!

This year, more than 1,200 school districts were eligible to apply and just 94 were selected to receive this outstanding honor for the 2023-2024 school year.

The TAEA District of Distinction, which examines visual arts programs in Texas schools, recognizes districts that provide students with a “well-rounded education rich in creative opportunities that ensure success for all.” We are proud to offer these opportunities for our students in Bryan ISD!

When selecting the Districts of Distinction, TAEA’s Visual Art Administrators of Texas division looks at the visual arts programs based on their involvement in TAEA events and community engagement and collaboration with other content areas in the school district.

“We were impressed and proud of your level of participation in visual art learning experiences at all grade levels,” TAEA stated.
