Quintero-Mendez Family in front of a Bryan ISD Build display

WE DID IT! Bryan ISD surpassed its $80,000 fundraising goal for bryanisd.org/build! We could not have achieved this ambitious goal without the support of the community & the family of the late Ruth Clearfield, who provided a matching gift of up to $40,000 to our project to build a Habitat for Humanity BCS home for a local family.

Our schools & our community held coin fundraisers, wore hats, sold ornaments & did whatever they could to raise enough money for the Quintero-Mendez household & its three generations who were living in a two-bedroom, one-bathroom house.

Thanks to the Bryan ISD family & Bryan-College Station Habitat for Humanity, they will soon move into a five-bedroom, two-bathroom home that they will pay off through a 0%-interest mortgage!

Mom, Adriana, is excited about her kids decorating their own rooms. Her son Dante is a fourth-grader at Kemp-Carver Elementary. His younger sister Ingrid & brother Justin will be future Bryan ISD students.

Thanks to everyone who donated to bryanisd.org/build & made the dream of the Quintero-Mendez family possible! The fun part is up next! Older Bryan ISD students, their families and volunteers throughout the community will soon rally together to help build the Quintero-Mendez home. Younger Bryan ISD students decorated wooden studs that will be used to frame the house.

Depending on building delays, the plan is to build the home in January through April & dedicate the house in May. Want to join in the effort to make homes a reality for those who need it? Visit bryanisd.org/build to learn how you can help.
